Sourdough is a big part of the story here, made fresh from a sourdough culture with no additives. The loaf is described as fresh and made without added sugar or yeast, and the banh mi and pork rolls are what keep a lot of regulars coming back. The pies get plenty of love too, especially the steak and cheese. On the sweeter side, we've heard good things about the hot cross buns, the slices and the banana and blueberry scroll, and the croissants come out fresh from the oven.

Coffee is worth a mention. The Vietnamese coffees are a local favourite, including a coconut version with real coconut pieces that one visitor said tasted just like the one they'd had in Vietnam. Breakfast is easy to sort out here, and staff are friendly and prices are fair.

The bakery changed hands after many years under the previous owner, and word is that the bread is now brought in rather than baked on site, so it's worth asking about the loaves if that matters to you. One person found a quiche heavy on the pepper. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and cards and mobile payments are accepted. Opening hours run early most days, but check before you head in.
