About Brookwater Bakery Cafe

Brookwater Bakery Cafe is the local bakery in Brookwater, Queensland, for a pie, a sausage roll or something fresh for smoko. The range includes pies, sausage rolls, scrolls and sandwiches, and the salad rolls are made to order while you wait. Fresh from the oven is the line you'll hear about the bread and the sweet and savoury bakes.

Customers often mention pies. The steak and cheese pie appears on the menu, and the filling and value are noted. We've heard the odd grumble about pastry texture and consistency on some visits, so it can pay to choose your favourites and see for yourself.

There's more than baked goods here. Coffee and breakfast are on offer, and you can dine in or grab something to go. They also take custom cake orders, and one local was thrilled with an 80th birthday cake that was fresh, tasty and ready for pick-up as arranged. The staff get a friendly mention, and we hear the shop has changed hands, with the newer owners described as lovely.

Getting there is easy, with free street parking and a free car park, plus a wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted. It opens early most mornings and runs through the day, but it's worth checking the hours before you head in.
