The coffee cake, cheesecake, lamingtons and vanilla slice all get a nod too.

Breakfast and lunch are well looked after. The bacon and egg roll has earned a loyal following, and the toasties are made fresh to order. There's a roast pork sandwich with crunchy crackling that one holidaymaker reckoned was the best of their two-week trip, and the team was happy to adjust it for a lactose-intolerant diner. High protein bagels turn up on some days, so it's worth asking at the counter.

Staff are friendly and quick, and prices are fair for a holiday village. You can eat in, take away, order online for pickup or delivery, or use kerbside pickup. There's free street parking and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and they're open every day from early. Check the hours before you head in.

Not every visit has been flawless. One person had a bad experience with a slice and an out-of-date drink, though the team refunded them and apologised. It's worth a quick glance at dates and freshness on anything from the fridge, but that's the exception in what locals describe as a warm, busy bakery that people happily detour for.
