Al Trancio is the sort of place you stumble on while wandering the main strip in Warburton and end up planning return trips around. It's a small café and bakery with an Italian heart, built around slow-fermented Roman-style pizza, artisan breads and a counter of seasonal treats.

The pizza al taglio is what stops people at the window. Slices come straight from the oven, and locals rave about the crust, made from a dough that's left to ferment for days. Sourdough is something they're known for too, and the panini and focaccia get plenty of praise, with one visitor calling the sandwich the best their mum had ever eaten.
