Locals will tell you the pies are the main event: chunky steak and cheese, curry meat and a breakfast pie with meat, egg and cheese all feature on the menu. Sausage rolls (the garlic and cheese one has its fans) and a very light custard puff round out the favourites, and we've heard the apple turnover lives up to the hype.

It's more than a pie shop, though. Sourdough is on the menu, and there's a decent spread of cakes and slices, from jaffa roll cake to hedgehog slice. Custom cake orders are popular too. One local orders XL chocolate sponge bases and decorates them at home for family birthdays, and they also do catering for meetings, parties and celebrations around the Atherton area.

You can sit in or take away. There's coffee, breakfast and lunch, and the fit-out is a pleasant, café-style space.
