About Muffin Break Whitford

Muffin Break Whitford is the mall cafe in Hillarys, Western Australia, where people stop for a coffee and a muffin. It runs as an individually owned and operated franchise under the "Good Goes In" banner, so the feel of the place tends to follow whoever is running it.

The menu goes beyond muffins. You can get breakfast, brunch, lunch and sweet treats, with takeaway and dine-in both on offer, plus catering and vegetarian options. Coffee and muffins are what people mention most, and there is a good variety of muffins, including savoury ones. We've heard the staff can be friendly, and one local says they will even deliver coffee to nearby shops when they're busy.

Some people rate the coffee highly, while others find it weak, and a few feel service and consistency have slipped since the ownership changed. One regular also mentions that only a couple of muffin varieties are ready first thing in the morning, so if you're after a particular flavour, a slightly later visit may suit you better.

It suits families, with good kid-friendliness, and the access is thoughtful, with a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, seating and toilet. It's open seven days, and the hours differ a little on weekends, so check them before you head in.

“Great coffee and service. It's in a busy area of the mall but probably the best coffee in that area. Muffins are nice with a good variety.”
