Booth Street Bakery is a busy Vietnamese bakery in Annandale, New South Wales, and the pork roll is a popular choice. Locals rave about the crackling pork version in particular: a crisp, golden roll that's soft inside, packed with juicy, fatty pork and a proper crunch of crackling. The traditional pork and the lemongrass chicken both get plenty of love too, and the fresh, well-balanced salad comes up when people talk about why the rolls work so well. The ordering system can be a bit muddled when it's flat out, with one local mentioning mix-ups on orders, so double-check your bag before you leave. Order bags have little marks so you can choose your chilli level, which is a nice touch.
