Beefy's Maroochydore is a pie shop in Maroochydore, Queensland, and pies are what people head here for. The signature steak pie gets mentioned most, and the green curry pie has its own fans. One local who ordered a steak and mushroom, a curried steak and the signature said the pastry holds together nicely and the pies are a good size. Another described it as the best pie and chips they'd ever had, and plenty of the usual favourites turn up too, including a sausage roll and the beef and pepper lunchtime special with a drink and chips.

The chips get their own praise. Locals say they're thick, fried to order, piping hot and well seasoned, and a serve can easily feed a group. Locals describe the counter team as friendly, courteous and quick, even on a day when only one person was working, and one visitor singled out Dylan for his friendly service. As for price, one local called the pies reasonably priced and the meal deal good value, with the large sharing easily between two adults, while another reckoned they aren't the cheapest around but are worth it for the size and quality.
